Mar Sánchez
Mar Sánchez is a versatile and eclectic Spanish guitarist and composer, influenced by jazz, rock, classical music and flamenco. Nationally in recent years she has been touring with Raimundo Amador, has accompanied Concha Buika, at the Jazz al Día Festival in Donosti in 2021, and has collaborated with Alain Pérez. Internationally he has worked for Cirque du Soleil (Montreal, Canada), Playing for Chance (Los Angeles, USA), Glastonbury (London), Free Style Phanatix (Sweden) and TEDxTalks.
Born in Seville in 1989, at the age of 18 he moved to Barcelona, where he has lived for 13 years. He graduated as a guitarist at the Conservatorio Superior del Liceu. He approaches music from different perspectives and musical concepts. He studies the Spanish guitar, as well as the electric guitar in depth, respecting and considering all the resources that this harmonic instrument offers.
He plays his own music, as well as accompanist, soloist and bandleader. Great versatility of musical genres, styles and projects. Her original compositions are manifestations of her personal vision of the guitar and her passion for music.
Graduated from the Conservatori Superior del Liceu, and from the Royal Welsh College of Music in the UK.
