Gabriel Selvage is a guitarist, composer, and arranger, regarded as one of the leading exponents of the Brazilian 7-string guitar. His style blends the gaúcha tradition of southern Brazil with an openness to the universal languages of Brazilian music, jazz, and contemporary instrumental music.

From an early age, he showed a keen interest in the rhythmic and melodic richness of his region’s popular music, which he has integrated into a sophisticated, modern language. His virtuosity on the 7-string guitar has positioned him among the instrument’s foremost performers, expanding its sonic possibilities and consolidating a distinctive personal voice.
