Paraguayan guitarist, composer, and music educator, regarded as one of Paraguay’s most outstanding musicians, combining the country’s musical roots with contemporary influences.

Over the past ten years he has released four albums and an EP, earning critical acclaim both nationally and internationally. This trajectory has led him to share his music in more than ten countries across Latin America and Europe.

At the same time, he has developed a solid academic career as a teacher and music researcher at the National University of Asunción. Martínez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the Federal University for Latin American Integration (Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil) and completed the MPB/Jazz program at the Conservatory of Tatuí (São Paulo, Brazil).

South American Guitar: virtuosity, original compositions, and the pulse of South America in Pedro Martínez’s guitar.

“South American Guitar” celebrates the richness and diversity of the American continent through the guitar, which takes center stage in an artistic dialogue between traditional music, classical music, and jazz.
Inspired by the traditions of the Southern Cone, the program explores how these cultural heritages intertwine with contemporary languages, shaping a proposal that connects past and present.
