Discovered by <strong data-start=\"171\" data-end=\"188\">Gerardo N\u00fa\u00f1ez<\/strong>, who became his mentor, he launched his solo career with the album <strong data-start=\"256\" data-end=\"269\">\u201cVarekai\u201d<\/strong>, followed by <strong data-start=\"283\" data-end=\"297\">\u201cAgaleano\u201d<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"302\" data-end=\"318\">\u201cMi Esencia\u201d<\/strong>\u2014the latter named by <em data-start=\"339\" data-end=\"348\">El Pa\u00eds<\/em> as <strong data-start=\"352\" data-end=\"383\">Best Flamenco Album of 2020<\/strong>. His fourth album, <strong data-start=\"403\" data-end=\"423\">\u201cEn vivo\u201d (Live)<\/strong>, was recorded during a concert in Seville. For his fifth release he ventured into a symphonic work for guitar and orchestra, <strong data-start=\"549\" data-end=\"609\">\u201cConcierto No. 1 for Guitar and Orchestra \u2014 <em data-start=\"595\" data-end=\"605\">La Perla<\/em>,\u201d<\/strong> issued by <strong data-start=\"620\" data-end=\"634\">Sat\u00e9lite K<\/strong>, which received excellent reviews, including in <em data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"692\">Babelia<\/em> (El Pa\u00eds). All his early albums were released by <strong data-start=\"742\" data-end=\"758\">Nuba Karonte<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"761\" data-end=\"1092\">He opened <strong data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"795\">La Bienal de Sevilla<\/strong>, and in 2022 appeared on various stages of the festival, as well as at <strong data-start=\"867\" data-end=\"887\">Guitarra Desnuda<\/strong>. In recent years, performing music from these albums, he has appeared in major cities such as <strong data-start=\"982\" data-end=\"1053\">London, New York, Chicago, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Istanbul<\/strong>, in <strong data-start=\"1058\" data-end=\"1069\">Romania<\/strong>, and across <strong data-start=\"1082\" data-end=\"1091\">Spain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1094\" data-end=\"1350\">He established himself as a soloist after a guitar-only recital at the <strong data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1187\">Auditorio Nacional<\/strong>, earning high praise from flamenco scholars. As critic <strong data-start=\"1243\" data-end=\"1264\">Luis Ybarra (ABC)<\/strong> wrote: <em data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1350\">\u201cWithin his generation, Rycardo stands out with a radically personal sound.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1352\" data-end=\"1635\">A creator of his own language and an insatiable researcher, <strong data-start=\"1412\" data-end=\"1429\">Manuel Mart\u00edn<\/strong> describes him thus: <em data-start=\"1450\" data-end=\"1635\">\u201cEndowed with a strong sense of individuality, he plays flamenco because he knows it, because he can, and because he is.
