The Festival Internacional 6Cuerdas   is now celebrating its 19th edition, having featured some of the most renowned guitarists on the international scene. Throughout its history, the festival has had the privilege of hosting artists such as Vicente Amigo, Niño Josele, Trío Rosenberg, Sylvain Luc, Stanley Jordan, Dúo Assad, Yamandú Costa, Miguel Martins, and Torsten De Winkel, among others.

Since its inception, the festival has firmly committed to the training and promotion of Canarian guitarists, fostering encounters between local emerging talents and major national and international figures. In this regard, some of the most prominent guitarists from the Canary Islands have played an important role in its programming, including Javier Infante, Miguel Manescau, Touché, Yul Ballesteros, Iván Rojas, Jonay Martín, Luis Alejandro García, Jonay Mesa, and Luis Merino, among others.

The 6Cuerdas International Festival was originally launched as the Festival de la Guitarra de La Laguna, a city that hosted its first seven editions. From that point on, and due to growing public interest, the festival expanded its scope to other islands of the archipelago. In terms of mobility, it has brought its program to Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, and El Hierro, establishing itself as a cultural reference of both regional and international relevance.
